That was a cool collaboration with artist Tracy Weil for the RiNO Art District in Denver. The pandemic was a tough time, and art helped ease the ache (as always, and again). :)
Drew, I remember the 2020 murals, and love the new trail walk with your and others' poems. Ada Limon put poetry in our national parks while U.S. Poet Laureate. All great!
This is fabulous, Drew! The project, and your poem! The image of the wild iris "now wrinkled / with the wear / of so much cheer"!! Poetry does need to get out more; Brava for helping it do so.
"Poetry is too wide and wonderful to grow stale in dusty books that few may crack.
Open the doors! Let poetry in — or, rather, out!” I’ve just reviewed two books by Hood River writer Eileen Garvin, and now this posting has a link to a trail near Hood River--with poems at every turn!
Woah, Drew--your mural?! That is so incredibly cool.
Aww thanks, Sarah.

Yes! She’s been so great for poetry!
I agree.

Thanks so much, Donna! Always love hearing from you.

Oh Fran, that's great! As the t-shirt says: "It's all good in the Hood."
(Eileen is a great writer and a nice person; it's so fun to read a place with landmarks you know).
